The effect is made by layering tiny metal particles with lucite or resin.  When the light hits the beads, it is reflected in a way which makes it look like there is a ball ‘miraculously’ floating in the middle.  These are such fun and inexpensive beads, why not see the ‘miracle’ for yourself?
